Pukekura Park Waterfall

On the way out we watched the waterfall;

This curiosity is actually named after a horse that won its backer a lot of money. He gave the money for the bridhe to built. Tragically his body was found floating in the water under the bridge several years later:






Pukekura Park Fernery

I always love going to this place becuase of the fact that it is partly underground and full of ferns, orchids, bromeliads and other tropical palnts:









Pukekura Park Cafe

It was a beautiful day when went to Pukekura Park on Sunday morning. Our first stop was at the Cafe and while we were there a Kereru flew down and perched in the Kowhai within cooing distance:


Waitara Cliffs

We walked down to the base of the cliffs under the motel. Even on a calm day like this the waves came crashing in:-
